Synopsis: Half-demon Jessie Garrett longs to liberate herself from the debt she owes the demon yearning to seduce her. When Jeremy asks for her help, she jumps at the chance to make a new deal with him—one that will guarantee her freedom. The only catch? She has to send the soul of a werewolf to Hell.

As if Jessie didn't have enough trouble in her life, her vampire lover remains out of the country. After Drake fails to offer an explanation as to why he hasn’t returned, she starts to wonder if she should move on without him. But when he finally shows up and defends his absence, his justification stuns and terrifies her.

Love, trust, and loyalty are on the line. Torn between her feelings for her vampire boyfriend, a hot Alpha wolf, and a demon vowing to protect her, Jessie must figure out her heart’s true desires and the best course of action to stay alive.

**Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for honest review.**

Oh, Jeremy... How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

Jessie is at it, again. Our half-demon, soul-banishing extraordinaire comes to aid Jeremy in a quest to send evil souls to where they belong. This time, she is tasked with capturing the soul of a werewolf and so we are introduced to another creature lurking around in this book's world. The complexity of the paranormal is becoming more and more interesting.

But what book would be complete without a love triangle, right?

Full disclosure: I am a weirdo. I was team Jacob. I tend to like the "other" guy. You know, the one who would be better for the heroine, in the long run. The guy who is an easier and more natural fit. "If it don't come easy, better let it go." That's my motto. So in the case of a love triangle, I often root for the one who is the more reasonable and realistic choice, not necessarily the one who a heroine tends to choose. *sigh* #bookwormproblems

So in this book, my lover choices for Jessie are between Drake, the vampire, or Jeremy, the full-blooded demon. Drake loves Jessie and goes to great lengths to protect her, yet he cannot live a full life with her. He cannot lounge around on the beach (because of the sun) and can't give her children down the road. He seems like a temporary romance to me, but I realize I'm probably in the minority.

Jeremy is a playboy at heart, and a complete smart-ass. But he also cares deeply for Jessie. His feelings become more apparent as this book progresses. And he can give her all of the things that Drake can't but Jessie has already given her heart to Drake so Jeremy gets her cold-shoulder, instead.

Since Drake was missing for a lot of this book, I was in a happy place watching Jessie and Jeremy's bantering and bickering. So adorable. But then we meet the werewolves and their leader, Alan. The affection that Jessie is adamant NOT to show Jeremy? Well, let's just say that she's a little hypocritical in this situation. And it almost turns this love triangle into a full-blown love square!

The pacing felt quicker this time around and I was appreciative of that. There was plenty of action, some romance, a few steamy love scenes, lots of male-shows-of-power and some jealousy lurking around. Overall, it was quite an entertaining read!

In closing...
I have the third book on my list and I'll get to it after a few more of my required reads. I am more than happy to continue this series and see what other trouble Jessie can get into. Four suns!
