Evan isn't looking for a relationship. In fact, he doesn't have time for one. He likes his life exactly like it is and doesn't want anyone cluttering up his space or his life. But being the dutiful brother that he is, he travels to South Dakota and even runs an errand to pick up the bride's close friend.
Mina is excited to attend her friend's wedding, especially since she made the bride's wedding dress, herself. However, a mix-up at the airport has put a kink in her plans. She finds herself both annoyed by and uncontrollably drawn to Evan, a man who couldn't be more opposite of her fun-loving self. An adventure of will power and paranormal interference ensues.
I was actually expecting a bit more angst between our couple prior to the moment of intimacy. Perhaps, if the book was longer, we would have gotten more of a buildup. As it was, I thought the romance was handled well, though. It was quick but wasn't ridiculously so. I thought the chemistry between Evan and Mina was strong enough to warrant the fast-paced relationship.
I also thought the rules of this paranormal world were easy to understand and follow. I was worried with this being so far into the series that I wouldn't be able to keep up but this was a quick and easy read that I breezed through. It definitely made me curious about the other characters and their stories.
