Lennon is a rock star and he knows his future isn't college. It's touring with his band and hopefully signing a record deal in the near future. Graduating from high school is just the first step in that plan. But that also means saying goodbye to the other thing he is passionate about: Jade. The nerdy girl of his dreams. The only person in the world who sees past his rocker persona to the guy underneath. And this is his last chance to tell her what that means to him.

Jade is ready for college. Mostly, she's just ready to get out from under her parents' thumbs and finally be able to draw without their judgement. They don't approve of her tossing aside her natural talent for numbers in order to pursue her art. But Jade will soon have the freedom she needs to work on her graphic novel and she doesn't want any regrets. Which is why she is finally ready to face her feelings for Lennon. It may be a one-night fling, but it's a memory she wants to take with her.

There are times when you just want a light read. A fluffy story with a simple plot, that is pure entertainment. When my work life gets hectic, I tend to lean toward these types of stories for a break from 'adulting'. And for me, that is YA Romance. It's like watching an 80's teen movie or another American Pie. There is usually humor, wild teen antics, over-dramatic scenes, and of course, lots of yummy angst. It's high school all over again, but more enjoyable because it's not me. Haha!

That's why I chose this book. I wanted something easy to follow and quick to read. This hit the spot and really was an adorable book. The characters were interesting and the pacing was steady. There really wasn't a moment of boredom for me in the entire book, which is actually pretty rare. I thought the names of the characters were a little annoying, seeing as half of them were unisex and I found it difficult to remember which was a boy and which was a girl.

My only real problem with this book was my own fault. I read this out of order, seeing as it's the third book and there are two other couples woven into this story. All three couples are coming together simultaneously, and since I wasn't familiar with the other characters, it was a bit tough to understand what was happening when those people were thrown into the mix. And even though I know how their stories will end now, this author's writing definitely left me wanting to read the previous books anyway, just to see the crazy plots unfold.

In closing...
A fun and cute story of opposites attracting. Four suns!
