Synopsis: Welcome to Billionaire Bachelors Inc, where the sexiest men in the city are about to meet their match..
Hot bachelor Max Carlisle is heir to a media empire, tabloid catnip, and… wants to hire me to be his fake fiancee. I know what it takes to keep a billionaire in line, but signing up for seven days in close quarters with this Very Irresistible Playboy? It’s just asking for trouble. The kind of thrilling, reckless trouble I could use a little more of since my career is currently ass-backwards in a mud bath with six shih-tzus (don’t ask).
So do I:
a) Take the job, and bicker wildly every step of the way?
b) Embark on a mad-cap treasure hunt to claim his billion-dollar inheritance?
c) Try my hardest not to fall head-over-heels in love with him and wind up having the best sex of my life?
d) All of the above?
Something tells me I’m about to be way out of my league… and under the most handsome, infuriating man I’ve ever met. But with a fortune on the line, can we beat out his crazy relatives to win the prize? And will our fake relationship be game over at the finish line?

Max sets me down gently, and brushes a strand of wet hair from my face. His eyes are stormy blue in the darkness, and his fingertips hot against my face.
My breath catches. My eyes drift to his mouth, and then just like that, he’s pulling me close again, into a hot, reckless kiss.
Ahhh.
God, I’ve been dying to taste him again. His mouth is hard and possessive, claiming mine, and a shudder of lust rolls through me at the feel of him. His hands are all over me, molding me against him as the fire between us blazes hotter, and I forget everything. Like my rules, and our arrangement, and the fact I’ve sworn off men like him . . . None of it matters, not with Max’s tongue doing wicked things to mine, and his body so hard against me.
Very hard.

Oh, wow... This was great!
When Hallie's new career hits a major setback, she receives an offer that seems too good to be true. Posing as the girlfriend for a rich bachelor for a week? There's a catch, of course. It's a man she's already met and shared a very heated kiss with just the week before. And being near him makes it difficult to remember that this arrangement isn't real. Heartbreak is undoubtedly in her future if she can't keep her feelings out of the equation.
Max hoped hiring a fake girlfriend would put a buffer between him and his unpleasant family during his grandfather's birthday celebration. But this particular woman takes him by surprise and soon he wonders if she might be the only one who can tempt him into an actual relationship. Before he can make his move, his grandfather tosses an obstacle in the way: a treasure hunt. The prize? Only the family's entire fortune!
On a race against other family members, Max and Hallie have to travel the country and hunt down one clue after another. It's just so hard to focus on the task at hand when their attraction to each other is impossible to ignore. Yet, even if they did learn to work together, their new relationship may not be able to withstand the brutal hunt to save his family's legacy.
I had high hopes for this book. First off, this author's Lucky in Love Series was one of my top series of 2017. And two, I had read a sneak peek of this book in the prequel novella and it made me anxious to continue the story. So when I started reading this, my expectations were sky high. And this awesome book blew them out of the water.
I loved everything about this book! The characters were witty and the plot kept surprising me. Hallie was a girl after my own heart. Driven to chase her dreams but realistic enough to know a good opportunity when she saw one. And Max. Oh, Max. I fell for you from the first word you uttered. Charming and thoughtful, clever and flirty. Just the perfect package without even considering his physical attributes. I was a swooning mess the entire time I was reading.
The plot went in a fun direction that I hadn't been prepared for. There was one hilarious moment after another. When the couple started using cutely obnoxious pet names for each other, I swear I about dropped my Kindle from laughing so hard. The treasure hunt was highly entertaining and had a pretty high level of suspense. I held my breath quite a bit through that part.
As for the romance, it was off the charts hot. Our couple had fantastic chemistry and it was definitely felt in the bedroom. Or the pool. Or wherever else this pair decided to throw down. No lie, I ate up every word of this book. I don't often re-read books, yet this will be on that short list for when I need a pick-me-up. Great couple, amazing attraction, and one heck of a fun adventure. Even the conflict, as sad as that part was, couldn't wipe the smile from my face. I enjoyed it that much.
In closing...
I can't recommend this highly enough and I cannot wait to see read Cal's story next. Five suns!
