SynopsisStanding on the balcony, outside my boss’s apartment, wearing only my underwear?

Not how I expected to start my Saturday morning.

I guess I should’ve thought harder about going home with my sexy new gym instructor, especially since I had no idea the guy was married.

When he pushed me outside five seconds before his wife walked through the door, I jumped one balcony over. I thought it would be less embarrassing for a total stranger to find me than his wife.

That was a smart move.

So here I am, wearing next to nothing and freezing my ass off, staring through the living room window at my young, sexy, and very intimidating boss, Chase Winston.

I have two choices: I can sit here and try to think of another way out of this and risk dying of hypothermia. Or I can suck it up and knock on that window.

After a long, internal argument with myself, I choose option two.

Here goes nothing…

Missy lives in a small town in Central Victoria with her husband, and her confused pets (a dog who think she's a cat, a cat who thinks he's a dog...you get the picture).

When she's not writing, she can usually be found looking for something to read.

How many embarrassing moments can one woman endure?

Alana is having the worst day of her life. After her boss overheard her saying some unsavory things involving his genital area, she's somehow found herself stranded on the balcony of the same man's home. Oh, and she's in her underwear. It happened on accident, she promises, but she's worried he won't see it that way. Especially, since he seems to have a thing for teasing her, unmercifully.

Chase is tired of women who do nothing but bow down to him. He wants someone willing to challenge him and he's just realizing that person may have been right in front of him all along. He can't help but tease her since he gets a thrill out of seeing her blush. And that's not the only thing he's coming to enjoy about his time with Alana. But just when their romance is heating up, the secrets of his past threaten to burn everything down.

This was a fun and quick read. I had a hard time putting it down when I had to do that whole 'adulting' thing. But it was easy to pick back up again. The plot is a forbidden love, boss and employee, office romance between a woman who is fed up with her job and the boss who had no idea how much he'd enjoy riling her up. These two made for several funny moments.

The romance was plenty steamy with several yummy bedroom scenes (and even a few in other fun places too). I thought the pacing was good and kept me interested from start to finish. Our couple had a problem with communication which was a little annoying. But overall, I liked them both and was happy to see the secrets finally come to light and the pair find a happy ending.

In closing...
I haven't read the first book in the series but I'm curious as to what comes next. Four suns!
