Synopsis: The next chapter in one of the most romantic love stories ever told

Luxury hotel heir Ian Gregson longed for his beloved Tessa from afar for more than two years, forced to keep his attraction towards her well hidden. But now that his feelings no longer have to remain a secret, he is free to indulge his constant craving for the woman of his dreams.

Shy, innocent Tessa Lockwood is dazzled by her handsome, sophisticated lover, and falls deeper and deeper under his spell with each passing day. But their newfound relationship will be tested by Tessa’s lifelong insecurities, and her fears of succumbing to the throes of depression that have always tormented her.

It will fall to Ian to convince her that their love is strong enough to overcome any obstacles that life might place in their way. And that now that he’s finally been able to make her his own, nothing and no one will ever keep them apart again.

**Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for honest review.**

In Crave, we meet Tessa, a naive and timid office worker with a painful past. She is a hard worker, dedicated to her job and trying to make the best of her situation. But despite her best efforts, Tessa can't seem to catch a break. Her marriage is ending, leaving her truly alone.

Tides begin to turn for Tessa, when she learns that she will be subbing for a week as the PA for her boss, Ian. She has had a crush, from afar, on her boss ever since she laid eyes on him. This week will give her the opportunity to get closer and enhance her fantasy of catching Ian's attention.

Little does Tessa know, but Ian asked for her, specifically, to fill in as his PA. He, too, has admired the blonde beauty, keeping his distance due to her marriage. But now that she is getting a divorce, Ian finally feels that the stars are aligning and he makes a plan to woo her.

I should probably mention that I have not read any of the other books in this series. I saw the author's note on this book's Goodreads page, which mentions that this book is an elaborated release of another book. In other words, this is the same story as another but with new scenes added to it. So I tried to keep that in mind as I read through.

It was likely the length that caused me to struggle. Had this been the original book, without the extra scenes, I might have breezed through it a bit easier. Once the love scenes began, it seemed like they were happening on every other page. Lots of hanky panky going on.

Other than the abundance of naughtiness, I also found the romance to be a bit too mushy for my taste. I usually want a bit of spice between my couples, and not just lovey-dovey romantics. There was conflict toward the end, which picked the story up for me. I enjoyed the second half of the book more than the first.

In closing...
If you're in the mood for a sweet and romantic story, this one is for you! 3.5 suns from me!
